The PSA Group’s 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged PureTech petrol engine again voted ‘Engine of the Year’ 2017 for the 1L to 1.4L category


A jury of international journalists awarded the PureTech turbocharged 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine the price of the engine of the year 2017 in category 1L To 1.4L at the International Engine of the Year 2017 Awards in Stuttgart. This is the third year running that the Peugeot has won this award for the above mentioned category. 


This engine is the same one fitted to the recent launched Malaysian market Peugeot 208 and 2008 SUV models brought in by Nasim Sdn Bhd, who are authorised importers of the Peugeot brand here.

Both the 208 and the 2008 SUV that is sold here is powered by the 1.2liter 3 cylinder Puretech turbocharged petrol engine. It is designed to be compact and efficient whilst delivering big engine drive and performance, producing 112 PS and 205 Nm of torque - a lot for a small 1.2liter engine. The Puretech engine on a combined cycle is rated at 4.2-litres per 100 km for a best in class fuel efficiency. The power and performance of the Puretech engine enables the little compact to achieve adequate performance as well as fuel sipping capabilities.

The New Peugeot 208 Puretech comes in six eye-catching colours: Digital White, Virtual Blue, Nera Black, Atomic Orange, Rouge Red and Aluminium. The on-the-road price with insurance of the hatchback is RM89,888.

The New Peugeot 2008 SUV Puretech is available in four stunning colours: Digital White, Ultimate Red, Emerald and Artense Grey. The on-the-road price with insurance of the SUV is RM109,888.

All Peugeot models come with five-year warranty together with Nasim’s 3-years complimentary 24-hour Peugeot Roadside Assistance service, exclusive access to the Peugeot Lounge at Subang Airport and Peugeot Privilege membership, all to provide the best ownership experience for its customers. The Peace of Mind warranty is valid for a total of 5 years or up to 120,000km, whichever comes first.

Germany, June 21 - On the occasion of the 18th edition of the International Engine of the Year Awards in
Stuttgart, a jury of international journalists awarded the PureTech turbocharged 1.2L 3-cylinder petrol engine
the price of the engine of the year 2017 in category 1L To 1.4L.

Industrial and commercial success

The "engine of the year" award in 2017 crowns the commercial success of this engine, which is available in 110 and 130 hp (PureTech 110 S & S and PureTech 130 S & S) for the third consecutive time. Indeed :
